The Lader Deli
Situated in the beautiful grounds of Castle Ashby, the deli stocks a good range of vinegars, chutneys and cheese amongst other things, mostly made by UK artisan producers. They also have on offer some beautiful and scrummy looking cakes to take away.

I seriously cannot get enough of these sausages! Browns are an artisan company based on a farm in Northamptonshire. They stock every imaginable kind of sausage including beef, chicken, pork and vegetarian, all of which feature beautiful flavour combinations. Their range is constantly increasing with new flavours available on a regular basis. Browns attend a variety of local farmer’s markets and are also available to purchase direct, watch this space for national delivery!

The Gourmet Spice Co was founded in 2011 and since then have gone from strength to strength winning several national awards. They produce all you need to make an average meal utterly unforgettable from rubs and spice blends to flavoured salts and infused oils and vinegars. Their website is an interesting read with numerous recipes and information about numerous different products, as well as the possibility of ordering online.

The pickled village stock my favourite red onion chutney of all time, ‘The Red Rapscallion’, sweet, with a hint of firery chilli, it is rather perfect and compliments a big slab of extra mature cheddar oh so well! The local company produce a wide range of jams, chutneys and preserves which can be found in local food related outlets and are also available to purchase on line!
